Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per-shift basis
• Assume responsibility for patient care at the unit level, ensuring safe and appropriate nursing practices
• Supervise staff to whom appropriate patient care tasks have been delegated
• Support nursing leadership in maintaining high quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care
• Ensure competency of clinical staff and appropriate resource management related to patient care

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Experience in an IMCU, PCU, or Step Down clinical setting
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health records system
• Demonstrated ability to delegate and supervise clinical staff appropriately

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a cardiovascular, surgical, or medical ICU environment
• Familiarity with multi-unit or high-acuity stepdown patient populations
