Job Title
Registered Nurse (RN) – Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including post ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, sepsis, cardiac, and respiratory conditions, within an 18-bed Intermediate Care Unit
Perform moderately complex assessments and deliver moderately intensive therapies and interventions, including management of vasopressors, titratable drips, arterial lines, and tracheostomy patients
Administer procedural sedation and thrombolytics as indicated, adhering to established protocols and safety standards
Monitor and interpret ECG/telemetry rhythm strips; candidates must pass a required ECG/Telemetry exam prior to assignment
Coordinate patient care across a collaborative, multidisciplinary team with a focus on clinical excellence and patient-centered outcomes
Float to other units as needed up to competency level; availability to work weekends, holidays, and one additional shift per 4-week scheduling period is expected
Required Qualifications
Active Nevada RN license required prior to start date
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of IMC/Stepdown experience required
Demonstrated experience with vasopressors, titratable drips, arterial lines, neuro-stepdown patients, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and trach management
Must pass a facility ECG/Telemetry exam; failure of this exam may result in contract termination
Prior travel experience of at least one completed 13-week assignment required
Preferred Experience / Skills
Medical/Neuro ICU background preferred
Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced acute care or trauma environment
Familiarity with stroke care protocols and neuroscience patient populations
