Registered Nurse (RN) – Intermediate Care Unit (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Nights | 3x12 shifts, 36 hours per week guaranteed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Manage and monitor patients with moderately complex conditions including post ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, sepsis, cardiac, and respiratory diagnoses
- Administer and titrate vasopressors and titratable drips; manage arterial lines, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and trach patients
- Read and interpret ECG/telemetry rhythm strips in accordance with unit requirements
- Coordinate care across a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Float to other units as needed within competency level; availability to work weekends, holidays, and one additional shift per 4-week schedule period is required
Required Qualifications
- Active Nevada RN license required prior to start
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of IMC/Stepdown experience
- Demonstrated experience with vasopressors, titratable drips, arterial lines, neuro-stepdown patients, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and trach management
- Must pass an ECG/Telemetry exam upon placement (failure results in contract termination)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Medical/Neuro ICU experience preferred
- Experience working in high-volume, fast-paced trauma or acute care environments
