Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a PCU/Step-Down setting with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1
- Monitor and manage PCU and medical-surgical level patients requiring standard drip therapies
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in accordance with unit protocols
- Fulfill weekend shift requirements of 2 weekend shifts per 2-week scheduling period
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Texas or a compact state license
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a PCU, Step-Down, or IMC setting
- Proficiency with standard PCU drip therapies (excluding insulin drips and vasopressors)
- Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Compliance with all travel contract and facility credentialing requirements
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a PCU or Step-Down unit
- Familiarity with a wide range of medical-surgical patient populations
- Strong adaptability and ability to integrate quickly into new clinical environments
