    Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 13-Week Assignment | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care to patients with moderate physiologic instability on a Progressive Care / Telemetry unit, including those with COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, CHF, and trach needs
    • Perform continuous cardiac and respiratory monitoring and management every 2–4 hours for hemodynamically stable patients requiring a level of care between ICU and Medical/Surgical
    • Administer and manage oxygen therapy modalities including nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP (up to 80%), and AirVo low-flow devices
    • Conduct nursing assessments and interventions at minimum every 3–4 hours, including vital signs every 4 hours, blood glucose monitoring every 4 hours, and neurological monitoring as ordered including NIHSS
    • Operate and document using unit equipment including Alaris pumps, Kangaroo pumps, Pyxis, and bedside computers; document in Meditech
    • Participate in self-scheduling including a minimum of 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; adhere to floating policy as applicable to travel staff
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Minimum 2 years of PCU, Telemetry, or Step-Down nursing experience
    • Current ACLS certification
    • Current BLS certification
    • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience caring for cardiac and pulmonary patient populations in a step-down or intermediate care setting
    • Familiarity with Meditech electronic health record documentation system
    • Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and tracheostomy care
