    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (4th Floor East Wing)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (6:30 PM – 6:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio on a 55-bed unit
    • Monitor and manage adult patients presenting with diagnoses including CVA, TIA, shortness of breath, subdural hematoma, and general weakness
    • Administer and manage common drips and medications including PCA pumps, Cardizem, and insulin
    • Perform telemetry monitoring and respond appropriately to cardiac rhythm changes
    • Conduct hourly rounding and maintain a strong focus on patient responsiveness and experience
    • Float to medical-surgical areas as needed based on unit census and staffing demands
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN licensure in good standing
    • Current ACLS and BLS certifications
    • Telemetry competency
    • Proficiency with EPIC EMR
    • Experience with Alaris IV pumps
    • Ability to pass a required open-book skills exam with a score of 90% or higher during orientation
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience in a PCU, stepdown, or intermediate care setting
    • Ability to manage a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong organizational and time-management skills
    • Collaborative team-oriented approach with the ability to support colleagues in a close-knit unit environment
