    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

    Contract | Night Shift | 3x12 Hours (19:00–07:30)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide IMC and medical-surgical stepdown level care to cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, and cardiothoracic surgery patients
    • Manage a 4:1 patient ratio in accordance with a safe staffing acuity matrix
    • Care for patients with diagnoses including CHF exacerbation, dysrhythmias (Afib/Aflutter, SVT, V-tach), bradycardia, pacemaker management, hemo/pneumothorax, and pre/post-operative cardiothoracic surgical patients (CABG, femoral bypass, thoracotomy, VATS, CEA)
    • Support patients requiring cath lab procedures including STEMI/NSTEMI and coronary artery disease management
    • Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
    • Float within scope to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Active, unrestricted RN license (no pending licenses accepted; no license hits)
    • Minimum 2 years of IMC/MS stepdown experience, specifically in cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, and/or cardiothoracic surgery
    • Experience with a 4:1 patient ratio
    • BLS and ACLS certifications required
    • EKG Course/Telemetry certification and NIHSS certification required
    • Must reside more than 75 miles from the contracted facility to be eligible — local candidates within 75 miles will not be accepted
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience with temporary or external pacemaker management
    • Familiarity with pre- and post-operative cardiothoracic surgical patient care (CABG, VATS, CEA, thoracotomy)
    • Experience with cath lab patient populations (STEMI/NSTEMI)
    • Proficiency with Epic EMR
