Job Title

Registered Nurse – Med/Surg / PCU / Telemetry (Nights)

Location

Newport, VT | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg, PCU, and Telemetry setting on night shift
• Participate in every other weekend rotation
• Work independently and perform charge nurse duties as needed
• Float to other units, including the Emergency Department and Maternal/Child Health, based on facility need
• Deliver high-quality nursing care within a critical access hospital environment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Vermont or compact state eligibility
• Experience in Med/Surg, PCU, Stepdown, or Telemetry nursing
• Ability to work independently and assume charge nurse responsibilities
• Willingness and ability to float to other units (ED, Maternal/Child Health) as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a critical access or small community hospital setting
• Charge nurse or leadership experience
• Cross-training or experience in Emergency Department or Maternal/Child Health
