Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Step-Down unit setting
- Manage a patient ratio of 5:1, delivering safe and effective nursing interventions
- Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate-level care between ICU and general medical floors
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized patient care plans
- Adhere to facility dress code requirements, including royal blue scrubs
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Mississippi
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PCU, Step-Down, or IMC setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required (may be obtained within the first 3 weeks of assignment start)
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems in an acute care environment
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills appropriate for intermediate-level patient acuity
- Familiarity with night shift workflows in a high-volume Step-Down or PCU unit
