    Job Title

    Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Night Shift

    Location

    Hermitage, Tennessee

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Three 12-hour shifts per week | Every other weekend required | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a Progressive Care Unit with patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6 on nights, utilizing available tech support
    • Manage and monitor cardiac drips, insulin drips, heparin drips, and patients on bipap, high-flow O2, vapotherm, and multiple oxygen delivery systems
    • Perform and assist with unit procedures including peritoneal dialysis, central line dressing changes, wound vac troubleshooting, and NG/Dobhoff tube insertions
    • Conduct every-two-hour patient rounding on nights and maintain communication boards in accordance with patient experience standards using the AIDET framework
    • Document all patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
    • Float between PCU units or to med-surg floors as needed per unit floating policy
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee or compact state eligibility
    • Minimum 2 years of PCU, IMC, or stepdown nursing experience
    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
    • Proficiency in EKG rhythm interpretation and cardiac drip, insulin drip, and heparin drip management
    • Experience with bipap, high-flow O2, and multiple oxygen delivery systems
    • Strong peripheral IV skills and critical thinking abilities
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and chest tube insertion assistance
    • Experience with stroke care and post-cardiac catheterization patient management
    • Familiarity with tube feedings and NG/Dobhoff tube care
    • Prior experience with the Meditech documentation system
