    Job Title

    Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Night Shift

    Location

    Hermitage, Tennessee

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Three 12-hour shifts per week | Every other weekend required | Projected Start: 07/27/2026

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a Progressive Care Unit with patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6 on nights, utilizing available tech support
    • Manage and monitor cardiac drips, heparin drips, and insulin drips, as well as BiPAPs, high-flow O2, Vapotherm, and Alaris pumps
    • Perform and assist with unit procedures including peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertions, Dobhoff/NG tube insertions, central line dressing changes, and wound vac troubleshooting
    • Conduct patient rounding every two hours on nights and maintain communication boards in accordance with unit standards using AIDET principles
    • Document all patient care activities accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
    • Float between PCU units or to med-surg floors as needed per unit floating policy
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN licensure applicable to the state of Tennessee
    • Minimum of 2 years of PCU or comparable nursing experience
    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
    • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and EKG rhythm interpretation ability
    • Experience with cardiac drips, heparin drips, and insulin drips
    • Proficiency with peripheral IV insertion and multiple oxygen delivery systems including BiPAP and high-flow O2
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with peritoneal dialysis
    • Experience with stroke care and post cardiac catheterization care
    • Familiarity with tube feedings and NG/Dobhoff tube management
    • Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
