Contract | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Weekend and holiday requirements apply
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 34-bed MedSurg Stepdown/Floor unit with staffing ratios of 1:3 (Stepdown) and 1:5–6 (Floor)
- Titrate IV drips as required per patient care needs
- Monitor telemetry and independently read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips each shift
- Collaborate with respiratory therapy (in-house 24/7), charge nurses, transport RNs, and certified nursing assistants to deliver coordinated patient care
- Adhere to unit dress code; royal blue scrubs required
- Float to other units as operationally needed
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing
- BLS certification required (must be current and unexpired)
- COVID-19 vaccination required (full vaccination series); medical or religious exemption requests must be submitted promptly for review and approval
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and cardiac strip interpretation
- Experience with IV drip titration
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a MedSurg Stepdown, IMC, or PCU setting
- Familiarity with ventilator patients in a stepdown environment
- ACLS certification
