Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Surgical Stepdown unit during night shift hours
- Monitor and assess patients requiring an intermediate level of care between ICU and general medical-surgical floors
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record
- Respond to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate clinical interventions in a timely manner
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be valid in the state of Kansas or through a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Prior experience in a PCU, IMC, or Stepdown clinical setting
- Ability to work night shift in a travel contract capacity
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with surgical stepdown or intermediate medical care patient populations
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Previous travel nursing experience
