Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Surgical Stepdown unit during night shift hours
- Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate-level care between ICU and general medical-surgical floors
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with facility protocols
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Kansas or compact licensure eligibility
- Experience in a PCU, IMC, or Stepdown clinical setting
- Current BLS certification required
- Ability to work night shift as a travel contract nurse
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a PCU or Stepdown environment
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills in an intermediate care setting
