Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care/Progressive Care Unit (IMC/PCU/Stepdown) setting
Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding appropriately to changes in acuity
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
Accurately document all patient care activities and clinical findings using EPIC EMR
Float to other units and/or campuses as needed based on census, within scope of demonstrated competencies
Complete all required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements prior to start
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of recent IMC/PCU/Stepdown experience
ACLS certification required
BLS certification required
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHS) certification required
Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience required
Prior travel nursing experience required - first-time travelers are not eligible for this assignment
Must live at least 50 miles from the contracted facility to be eligible (night shift, Progressive Care specialty)
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in a high-acuity stepdown or progressive care environment
Strong familiarity with cardiac monitoring and telemetry
Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new facilities and team environments
