    Travel RN – PCU / Cardiac Stepdown

    Location

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | 13-Week Assignment | Projected Start: July 5, 2026

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Cardiac IMCU / PCU Stepdown unit at a Level II Trauma facility
    • Monitor and manage cardiac patients including telemetry monitoring, cardiac drips, and chest tube care
    • Care for a diverse patient population including pre- and post-operative cardiac surgery, CHF, stroke/TIA, pacemakers, heart blocks, and vascular conditions
    • Maintain patient ratios of 1:5–6 for cardiac patients and 1:3–4 for PCU/stepdown patients
    • Float to other units as required based on census and staffing needs
    • Document patient care accurately using Cerner EHR
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN licensure in good standing
    • Minimum 1 year of PCU or stepdown experience
    • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
    • Experience with cardiac patient populations, cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, and chest tubes
    • Associate degree in Nursing (minimum required education)
    • Ability to work every other weekend and on-call as needed for low census
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • PCU and stepdown patient population experience
    • Low-level ICU skills
    • 2+ years of stepdown or neuro stepdown nursing experience
