Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00am–7:30pm), Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required. 4x12 schedules also accepted.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an intermediate care/progressive care/stepdown unit setting
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, including identification of lethal and complex rhythms
- Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health record system
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes in a high-acuity inpatient environment
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- BLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- ACLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Minimum of two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in the submitted specialty
- EPIC experience required
- Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start (adult and pediatric components; passing score of 80% or higher with strict criteria for lethal rhythm identification; maximum of three attempts)
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a PCU, DOU, IMC, or stepdown unit environment
- Strong proficiency in cardiac telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
- Experience working in a Magnet-designated or academic medical center setting
