    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

    Location

    Madison, WI | Inpatient

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00am–7:30pm), Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required. 4x12 schedules also accepted.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in an intermediate care/progressive care/stepdown unit setting
    • Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, including identification of lethal and complex rhythms
    • Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
    • Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health record system
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes in a high-acuity inpatient environment
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
    • BLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA) only
    • ACLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA) only
    • Minimum of two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in the submitted specialty
    • EPIC experience required
    • Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start (adult and pediatric components; passing score of 80% or higher with strict criteria for lethal rhythm identification; maximum of three attempts)
    • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in a PCU, DOU, IMC, or stepdown unit environment
    • Strong proficiency in cardiac telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
    • Experience working in a Magnet-designated or academic medical center setting
