Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every other weekend and some holidays required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care across IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care and IMC Thoracic units
- Monitor and interpret telemetry, including identification of lethal rhythms and heart blocks
- Care for oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown patient populations
- Manage patients requiring ventilator support and transplant care
- Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
- Pass a required telemetry exam prior to start date
Required Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Minimum of two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in the applicable specialty
- Telemetry, oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
- Ventilator and transplant experience required
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in both medical/progressive care and thoracic IMC settings
- Familiarity with complex cardiac rhythm interpretation, including 3rd degree heart blocks
- Experience working in a Magnet-designated or academic medical center environment
