Job TitleRegistered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Cardiac Stepdown setting, with floating required to all care areas including MS, MS/Tele, and Tele units as needed
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; provide care for post-MI and pre/post cardiac surgery patients
- Administer and manage IV insulin protocols, IV therapy, and chest tube care
- Perform feeding tube care and management, wound care, and nasal cannula management
- Support pre/post hemodialysis management and care for patients with renal failure
- Participate in every-other-weekend coverage and holiday coverage as needed; no on-call requirement
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of cardiac and/or telemetry experience required
- First-time travelers welcome provided experience requirements are met
- Candidates must be clean-shaven for mask fit testing - failure to comply will result in cancellation; no medical or religious exemptions are accepted
- Must live more than 70 miles from the facility to be eligible - local candidates are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills- NIHSS certification preferred
- Intermediate Care (IMC) experience preferred
- Experience with MS/Tele patient populations
