Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care / Progressive Care / Stepdown unit setting
Monitor and assess patients requiring a higher level of observation than a general medical-surgical floor
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Virginia or through Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
Current BLS certification required
Experience in an Intermediate Care, Progressive Care, or Stepdown unit
Preferred Experience / Skills
ACLS certification
Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Prior travel or contract nursing experience
