Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 45-bed 5th Floor Medical / PCU unit with a patient ratio of 4–5 patients per nurse
- Manage cardiac drips and cardiac catheters in accordance with unit protocols
- Perform chest tube management, wound care, and administration of TPN/lipids
- Utilize cardiac monitoring equipment, lifts, and Dynamap devices as part of routine patient care
- Document and manage patient records using the Meditech EMR system
- Collaborate with a team including charge nurses, RNs, and MSTs across day and night shifts
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse; minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PCU experience required
- Active RN license valid in the state of Colorado (or compact license eligibility)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Travel nursing candidates only — this is a travel contract position
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Cardiac and/or ICU clinical experience
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR
- Team-oriented professional with a positive attitude toward staff and providers
