Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care (IMC) setting, with patients presenting conditions such as hip fractures, osteomyelitis, cellulitis, acute kidney injury, pneumonia, bowel obstructions, and general medical/surgical needs
- Float between IMC, Orthopedic, and Rehabilitation units as needed
- Utilize EPIC electronic health records for documentation and charting
- Adhere to holiday scheduling requirements, with an expectation to work at least one to two major holidays per contract period
- May provide care for COVID-positive patients as needed
- Comply with facility policies, including a tobacco-free and fragrance-free environment
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license — no license hits accepted
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in an IMC, PCU, or Stepdown setting
- BLS certification required (AHA or ARC only)
- NIHSS certification required (AHA or ARC only)
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at the standard contract rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- EPIC electronic health records experience strongly preferred
- Experience floating across IMC, Orthopedic, and Rehabilitation units
- Familiarity with orthopedic and rehabilitation patient populations
