Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting with nurse-to-patient ratios of 4–5:1, up to 6:1
- Monitor and manage patients requiring intermediate-level care, including continuous cardiac monitoring and hemodynamic assessment
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and established clinical protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Float within the hospital and potentially to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius as needed
- Complete all required pre-start modules prior to entering the facility and adhere to all compliance timelines
Required Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a PCU/IMC/Stepdown setting
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required at submission (AHA certifications only accepted)
- Must be available to work every other holiday
- Candidates must be willing to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility (based on driver's license address) to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Cerner electronic health records system
- Two supervisor references preferred at time of submission
