Travel Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Expected 96 hours bi-weekly | No on-call requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced intermediate care unit with a patient ratio of 4:1 or 5:1
- Monitor and manage patients requiring intermediate-level care in a 30-bed unit
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Float to Med/Surg as needed based on unit staffing requirements
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the facility's electronic medical record system
- Adhere to all facility policies, scrub color requirements (navy blue), and compliance standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Indiana RN licensure (or compact license valid in Indiana)
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1–2 years of critical care or intermediate care experience
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred but not required
- Prior travel nursing experience in an IMCU, PCU, or stepdown setting
- Comfort with floating to Med/Surg units as needed
