Functions as a direct and indirect provider of safe, therapeutic, age-specific care for an assigned group of patients as part of a float pool. Collaborates with and seeks additional resources as needed in the management of complex, new/unusual, or high-risk clinical situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides individualized, holistic patient and family care that progresses patients toward self-identified goals
• Performs the nursing process through individualized assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of safe, therapeutic, and efficient care
• Promotes quality outcomes across an assigned patient population
• Collaborates with and seeks additional resources as needed in the management of complex, new/unusual, or high-risk clinical situations
• Serves as a patient and family advocate to ensure excellent and satisfying care experiences
• Functions as a direct and indirect provider of safe, therapeutic, age-specific care for an assigned group of patients as part of a float pool

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license required
• Current CPR certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum of 3 years of recent RN experience in an RN role
• Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in a specialty area
• BSN or ADN required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a float pool or multi-unit environment
• Background in IMC, PCU, or Stepdown care settings
