Key Responsibilities
- Provide total patient care for a Medical Surgical / Telemetry step-down unit with a patient ratio of 1:4–1:5 across a 31-bed unit
- Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate cardiac and telemetry oversight
- Document all patient care activities accurately using Cerner EMR
- Float to Medical Surgical unit as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active RN Licensure (applicable state or compact)
- BLS Certification (required)
- ACLS Certification – all ALC modules must be completed
- Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical experience required
- No call required
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a step-down, PCU, or IMC setting
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR documentation
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac patient populations
