    Job Title

    Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown – Night Shift

    Location

    Kansas City, Missouri

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3 shifts per week | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 16-bed Stroke and Brain Progressive Care Unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
    • Monitor and manage patients requiring telemetry and cardiac drip administration
    • Perform neurological assessments and deliver stroke-focused patient care
    • Utilize unit equipment including telemetry monitors, Welch Allyn VS machines, Hoyer lift, Sarah Steady Lift, bladder scanner, and Doppler
    • Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
    • Fulfill weekend shift requirements (3–4 weekend shifts per contract period) and float to other areas within demonstrated competency as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Missouri or compact state eligibility
    • Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a PCU, stepdown, or IMC setting
    • Current NIHSS certification
    • Current ACLS certification
    • Current BLS certification
    • Demonstrated stroke experience and telemetry competency
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience managing cardiac drips in a progressive care or stepdown environment
    • Neurology nursing background or experience on a dedicated stroke unit
    • Familiarity with basic dysrhythmia interpretation
    • Prior travel nursing experience
