Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Neuro/Surgical Telemetry)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | No on-call requirements | Weekend availability required (3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule) | Holiday availability required | No block scheduling or special schedule requests will be accommodated
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Neuro/Surgical Telemetry floor
- Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate, progressive, or stepdown-level care
- Float to other MS/Tele units or low-acuity ICU as needed
- Document clinical assessments and interventions accurately using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient safety and positive outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active Tennessee or compact RN license required at time of submission
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele experience required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 18 months is required and must be clearly documented on the candidate profile, including where Epic was utilized; candidates must pass the Epic competency exam (one attempt only)
- Two supervisory references required at time of submission
- All requested time off must be disclosed at time of submission; additional requests will not be considered after submission
- Local candidates are welcome and accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Comfort with floating across MS/Tele units and low-acuity ICU settings
- Experience in Neuro or Surgical Telemetry environments
