    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – IMC / PCU / Stepdown (Float Pool)

    Contract | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Onsite | Float Assignment

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care across multiple PCU/IMC units covering specialties including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Renal, Ortho, Trauma, ED Observation, Rehab, Bariatrics, and General Surgery, among others
    • Titrate and manage cardiac drips, insulin, Ativan, and heparin; common drips include dopamine, dobutamine, cardizem, amiodarone, and others
    • Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3–4 dependent on patient acuity
    • Float throughout the assigned zone (up to 60-mile radius) as directed, which may include facility assignments communicated 1–2 hours before shift start (Just-In-Time scheduling)
    • Adhere to scheduling requirements including 6–9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule and potential holiday rotation participation
    • Complete all time-off requests prior to assignment start; maintain flexibility to fill scheduling gaps alongside permanent staff
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN licensure in the state of Colorado (or compact eligibility)
    • Minimum 2 years of PCU/IMC experience
    • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
    • Demonstrated experience with cardiac drips, insulin, and Ativan administration and titration
    • Ability and willingness to float throughout the full 60-mile zone radius regardless of personal housing location
    • Must be present in-state for the full week of orientation, even if initial modules are conducted remotely
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience in a neuro PCU/IMC setting
    • Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system
    • Experience with RT equipment including ventilators, CPAP, and BiPAP
