Travel RN – PCU / Progressive Care Unit

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Step-Down unit setting with a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Monitor and assess patients requiring an intermediate level of care between ICU and general medical-surgical floors
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
- Document patient assessments, care provided, and clinical outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact license eligibility)
- Minimum of 1 year of PCU, IMC, or Step-Down nursing experience
- Current BLS certification required
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a PCU or Step-Down environment
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac care
- Strong critical thinking and adaptability skills in a fast-paced acute care setting
