Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days, 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) | Holiday Rotation Required | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown/IMC/PCU setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Participate in holiday rotation and every other weekend coverage as required
- Float within scope to meet facility needs, consistent with expectations for staff nurses; agency travelers will be floated first
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
- Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November), as required by facility policy
Required Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of experience in ICU and/or Stepdown nursing required
- Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
- Previous permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
Preferred Experience / Skills- NIHSS certification preferred
- First-time travelers with prior ICU and/or Stepdown experience will be considered
- Experience charting in Epic
