Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed Stepdown/Med Surg unit with common diagnoses including respiratory issues, weakness, UTI, AKI, and chest pain
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:3 (Stepdown) and 1:5–6 (Floor) with support from nurse aides (2 per shift)
- Titrate drips including Heparin, Insulin, Cardizem, and Amiodarone per physician orders and unit protocols
- Monitor and interpret telemetry in coordination with remote monitoring support
- Manage and care for patients requiring RT equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
- Fulfill weekend rotation requirements (3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule) and rotating holiday coverage
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted RN license; any licensing hits must be disclosed at time of submission
- BLS certification (required)
- ACLS certification (required)
- Valid, unexpired driver's license — copy must be included with submission
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior Stepdown or PCU experience strongly preferred
- Experience titrating drips (Heparin, Insulin, Cardizem, Amiodarone)
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and strip reading
- Experience working with RT equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
