Job TitleRegistered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Night Shift)
LocationEl Paso, TX | Intermediate Care / Progressive Care Unit
Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM | Onsite | 2 weekends per pay period required | No call requirements
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed IMC/PCU/Telemetry unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using GE remote telemetry equipment
- Care for post-procedural cardiac patients including those following cardiac catheterization, pacemaker placement, Watchman procedures, and ablations
- Manage care for stroke and other complex medical patients in a stepdown setting
- Document accurately and efficiently using Meditech EMR
- Participate in bedside shift report, update patient communication boards, and attend unit huddle at the start of each shift
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current ACLS certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- Demonstrated competency in cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience
Preferred Experience / Skills- Leadership or charge nurse experience
- Critical care background
- Monitor technician experience
