Key Responsibilities
- Apply the nursing process to the care of patients within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing
- Educate patients and significant others regarding care, treatment, and health management
- Accurately document patient care in the medical record
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to effectively coordinate overall patient care
Required Qualifications
- Active or willing to obtain Oregon RN license prior to start
- Minimum 24 months of current Intermediate/Progressive Care Unit (PCU/IMCU/Telemetry/Stepdown) experience required
- Acute care hospital experience required
- BLS certification (AHA) – must be willing to obtain if not currently active
- ACLS certification (AHA) – must be willing to obtain if not currently active
- Discipline-specific skills checklist required at time of submission
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a PCU, IMCU, Telemetry, or Stepdown unit setting
- Familiarity with comprehensive medical services across a broad patient population
