Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown/HVTI unit setting, with potential to float to additional units caring for the same patient population
- Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Complete required orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate with an acceptable passing score
- Work at least every other holiday as part of scheduling expectations
Required Qualifications
- Permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license must be active and in hand at time of submission
- Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
- Active ACLS certification required
- Active NIHSS certification required
- Minimum of 12 months of permanent employment experience in IMC/PCU/Stepdown or the specialty being applied for
- One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director within the specialty from an assignment worked in the past 12 months is required; co-worker references will not be accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PCU/Progressive Care experience strongly preferred
- Experience within a single location for the required specialty tenure is preferred, though not required
- Familiarity with ECG rhythm interpretation in a clinical setting
