    Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Neuro)

    Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (4x12-Hour Shifts, 19:00–07:00) | Every Other Weekend, Every Other Holiday

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide intermediate-level care utilizing critical care and neuroscience principles on a 12-bed unit with a 1:3 patient ratio
    • Care for patients transferring from the Neuro ICU, including those with neuro trauma, subarachnoid hemorrhage, intraventricular hemorrhage, and intracerebral hemorrhage
    • Support post-operative spine patients and those with a wide range of neurological conditions
    • Provide care for ENT oncology patients following tumor resection and flap reconstruction
    • Float within scope of practice as needed per facility policy
    • Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
    • Epic EMR experience required
    • Nursys verification required at time of submission
    • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted for this unit)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • BSN preferred
    • Prior experience in an intermediate care, PCU, or stepdown setting
    • Background in neuroscience or neurocritical care nursing
