    Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Nights (18:45–07:15) | 36 or 48 hours per week | Every other weekend required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide continuous nursing observation, monitoring, and intervention to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, medical/surgical, renal, pulmonary, bariatric, and trauma-related conditions in a 24-bed intermediate intensive care unit at a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
    • Monitor and manage cardiac telemetry, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and care for pre- and post-procedural cardiac and vascular patients (e.g., post-cardiac cath, TAVR, pacemaker implantation, ablations, PCI)
    • Administer and wean vasoactive IV medications, manage insulin drips, and provide non-invasive airway management including BiPAP, CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and Opti-flow
    • Perform and assist with peripheral line care/management, IV starts, arterial and venous sheath management, and wound care
    • Support elective and emergent cardioversions, continuous EKG monitoring, pulse oximetry, and pre/post care for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
    • Float as needed to the Cardiac Telemetry unit; patient ratios may increase up to 1:6 in a Med-Surg assignment
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license in North Carolina or a Compact state (pending license acceptable for submission)
    • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
    • Prior travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers will not be accepted
    • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHS)
    • Demonstrated skills in telemetry, IV starts, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, peripheral line care, non-invasive airway management, and post-cardiac/vascular surgical experience
    • Must pass EKG testing prior to start
    • Local candidates are welcome; candidates within 50 miles of the facility are eligible at a adjusted local rate
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Charge Nurse experience
    • Wound care and wound vac experience
    • NIHSS certification
