Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend required | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide intermediate-level nursing care to adult and pediatric surgical and vascular patients requiring close cardiac monitoring
- Perform invasive line monitoring including arterial pressures and central venous pressures
- Manage and interpret dysrhythmias and administer critical medications
- Care for post-procedural vascular patients including post-TAVR, post-CEA, and post-femoral popliteal bypass populations
- Manage transvenous pacemakers, chest tubes, and respiratory ventilation as needed
- Float within scope to other units if necessary
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Cardiac telemetry/telemetry monitoring experience required
- Active WV or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted at time of submission
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (American Heart Association)
- Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 – March 31); medical exemption documentation accepted
- Permanent address must be greater than 100 miles from the facility (75–100 miles considered on a case-by-case basis)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PALS certification (preferred, not required)
- Experience with Cerner electronic health records
- Prior experience in a stepdown, PCU, or intermediate care unit setting
