    Key Responsibilities
    • Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, including comprehensive patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care in a hospital setting
    • Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems, addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects of care appropriate to the patient population
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate patient care, communicate relevant information, and promote continuity of care
    • Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families, consulting appropriate resources for complex care issues and high-risk discharge planning
    • Utilize healthcare organization and nursing standards, policies, and procedures in the delivery and prioritization of care
    • Participate in unit goal development, performance improvement activities, and cost-effective care initiatives
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA or ARC)
    • Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience
    • Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing
    • Experience in a progressive care, step-down, or intermediate care unit setting
