    Key Responsibilities
    • Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, for patients with complex problems in a hospital setting
    • Perform comprehensive patient assessments addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs, and synthesize data to inform and update individualized care plans
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate patient care outcomes, promote continuity of care, and consult appropriate resources for patients with complex or high-risk discharge needs
    • Perform bedside point-of-care testing and apply healthcare organization standards, policies, and procedures in the delivery of care
    • Assess patient and family readiness and ability to learn, utilizing appropriate patient education materials relevant to the population served
    • Participate in unit goal development, performance improvement activities, and cost-effective care practices while promoting a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA or ARC)
    • Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience
    • Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing
    • Experience in a progressive care, intermediate care, or stepdown unit setting
