Key Responsibilities
Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs and develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team
Implement and evaluate patient care plans, providing explanations and instructions to patients and responsible parties
Apply nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition in a timely manner
Meet Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care and maintain complete and accurate medical records
Contribute to a healthy workplace environment by managing conflict using professional communication skills
Participate in continuing education to maintain and advance clinical competency
Required Qualifications
Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current CPR/BLS certification
Current ACLS certification
Ability to manage a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio in a progressive care setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience caring for cardiac and respiratory patients in a PCU, IMC, or stepdown environment
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced unit with fluctuating patient acuity
