Job Title

Contract | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM | Weekend rotation required; holidays as needed
Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to cardiac progressive care patients in a 30-bed private-room unit, with a primary focus on conditions such as congestive heart failure, acute coronary syndrome, arrhythmias, pre- and post-cardiac catheterization, rule-out myocardial infarction, syncope, and pacemaker placement
• Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias via on-unit telemetry; rooms are remotely monitored by a centralized cardiac monitoring department
• Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips including titration; administer procedural sedation as required
• Perform and manage peripheral line care, PICC line management, chest tubes (Emerson/Pleur-evac), external CPAP/BiPAP, and tracheostomy management
• Provide secondary care for respiratory patients including COPD, pneumonia, and BiPAP-dependent patients
• Participate in a 6-week self-assisted scheduling process through Optilink; assignments are distributed based on departmental need, patient work intensity, skill mix, and previous assignments

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; Cardiac PCU experience required with comfort managing 1:5 patient ratios
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam prior to start (2 attempts allowed)
• Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility to be eligible; current driver's license required to verify address
• Third-party education verification required; degrees from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list will not be accepted
• No open background check cases permitted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• NIH stroke scale certification preferred
• Experience with Rapid Response Teams preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
