Key Responsibilities Provide nursing care on a 32-bed telemetry/cardiac unit serving adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including cardiac cath, EP studies, pacers, sepsis, pneumonia, ETOH, BiPAP-dependent patients, and acute-on-chronic conditions. Read and independently interpret telemetry strips ; unit utilizes portable tele monitors, in-room monitors, and a nurses' station monitor tech.

Key Responsibilities
Provide nursing care on a 32-bed telemetry/cardiac unit serving adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including cardiac cath, EP studies, pacers, sepsis, pneumonia, ETOH, BiPAP-dependent patients, and acute-on-chronic conditions
Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–5 (occasional 1:5–6 on nights); provide PCU-level overflow care at a 1:3 ratio
Titrate drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitroglycerin, Nipride, Lasix, and low-dose Dopamine
Read and independently interpret telemetry strips; unit utilizes portable tele monitors, in-room monitors, and a nurses' station monitor tech
Manage respiratory therapy equipment such as BiPAP, trachs, and Airvo, including troubleshooting as needed
Float as a helping hand to all areas; may take full patient assignments in PCU or MS, and assist with ER holds/boarding
Required Qualifications
Active RN license
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
PCU experience required; must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips
Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Candidates may not currently hold full-time, part-time, or PRN employment with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity Health
All requested time off (7 days or fewer per 13-week contract) must be submitted upfront; additional RTO will not be approved
