Contract – Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Step Down / Intermediate Care unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Monitor and assess patients requiring an intermediate level of care between ICU and general medical-surgical units
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and unit protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
Required Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Alabama
- Minimum 2 years of Step Down, IMC, or PCU nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – must be in hand at time of submission
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification – must be in hand at time of submission
- Permanent address must be located more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Step Down or progressive care setting
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems used in acute care environments
