Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care across all acuity types, including ICU and PCU patients, with appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios
- Manage med/surg, PCU, and ICU patient populations as census and acuity demands
- Participate in weekend rotation and every-other-holiday schedule
- Perform standby call as needed
- Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
- Pass a telemetry exam prior to assignment start, meeting strict criteria including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and an overall passing score of 80% or higher
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in med/surg and PCU
- Inpatient RN travelers must have two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty being submitted to
- First-time travelers must have more than 5 years of experience as an RN
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience caring for ICU-level patients in a mixed-acuity inpatient setting
- Strong telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
- Flexibility to consider a 48-hour contract with increased weekend availability
