Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per-shift basis
- Supervise staff to whom appropriate patient care has been delegated
- Support nursing leadership to ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care is delivered
- Monitor and maintain competency of clinical staff and appropriate resource management related to patient care
- Provide care within a Stroke Certified hospital environment
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee or compact eligibility
- Experience in an IMCU, PCU, or Stepdown clinical setting
- Ability to work night shift hours (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
- Must adhere to facility dress code: RN scrub color is ceil blue or white
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a stroke-certified hospital or neurology-related care setting
- Demonstrated experience with clinical staff supervision and delegation
- Strong resource management and patient safety skills in a step-down or intermediate care environment
