Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to an adult and geriatric population in a cardiac stepdown setting, including patients with post-MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, and peripheral vascular disease
• Perform telemetry monitoring, EKG interpretation, and Doppler assessments as part of routine care
• Assist with peritoneal dialysis and manage patients requiring specialized cardiac interventions
• Perform vital sign checks and blood glucose checks independently as part of standard nursing duties
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic; utilize Pyxis for medication management and SBAR for clinical communication
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed; charge nurse experience required

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact license required at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Charge nurse experience required
• Proficiency in Epic required
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with telemetry, EKG interpretation, and Doppler in a stepdown or progressive care environment
• Familiarity with peritoneal dialysis care
• Experience with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Prior travel nursing experience in a cardiac or stepdown unit
