Key Responsibilities
Provide PCU-level nursing care to a patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics on a Neuro/Stroke PCU floor with mixed medical, respiratory, and cardiac patients
Titrate cardiac drips and perform continuous telemetry monitoring
Maintain a patient assignment ratio of 1:4 on a 36-bed unit with an average daily census of 30
Document and communicate patient information using Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR methodology
Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
Work every other weekend and fulfill holiday obligations per assignment schedule
Required Qualifications
Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
Minimum of 1 year of RN experience; first-time travelers accepted
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
Proficiency with Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication
All requested time off must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule changes permitted post-offer or during orientation week
Full compliance with onboarding requirements must be completed within required deadlines to avoid start date delays
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in a Neuro/Stroke, cardiac, or respiratory step-down or PCU setting
Familiarity with continuous telemetry monitoring and cardiac drip titration in a high-acuity environment
