Key Responsibilities

• Provide intermediate-level nursing care to a variety of patient populations including high-risk respiratory, cardiac thoracic surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, and head/neck surgery patients
• Monitor and manage patients on respiratory support ranging from room air to BIPAP or Optiflow
• Deliver care within a Pulmonary Thoracic step-down unit setting
• Adhere to holiday scheduling expectations: expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in IMC, PCU, or Step Down nursing
• Required: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Experience caring for pulmonary or thoracic surgery patient populations
