Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to an adult and geriatric patient population in a 32-bed IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit with an average daily census of 21
• Manage patients admitted from CICU, MSICU, acute care floors, and the ED, including post-op CABG, thoracic, and vascular surgery patients
• Care for patients presenting with conditions such as cardiac arrhythmias, respiratory failure, DKA, GI bleed, trauma, CVA, seizures, CIWA, sepsis, hypertensive emergency, renal failure, and neuro/metabolic disorders
• Utilize unit systems including Epic, Pyxis, SBAR, AirVo, BiPAP, and CPAP
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:3-4 and float within the facility within scope of practice as needed
• Adhere to holiday coverage expectations; travelers are expected to work major holidays that fall within their assignment period per the facility's holiday policy

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience; first-time travelers are welcome to apply
• All requested time off (RTO) must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule requests will be accepted post-offer or onsite, including during orientation week
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements must be completed within required deadlines to avoid start date delays

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a stepdown, PCU, or IMC setting strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Epic EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Experience managing patients on BiPAP, CPAP, or AirVo respiratory support modalities
